STUDIO ETIQUETTE
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so you can settle on your mat and be ready to sweat at the start of class. It’s a beautiful time with ambient sound and music to bring you into the present so you can get the most out of your class. Please enter quietly to allow other Pilgrims this precious moment.
The studio is heated with infrared technology to between 32 & 38 degrees. The studio has soft lighting so no phones. If you wear a smartwatch, please turn audio notifications off to ensure others are not disturbed during class. If you require your phone because you are an on call medical practitioner please inform the Studio Manager or Instructor and we will make exceptions.
We ask that you commit to the full duration of each class. Listen to your body, adopt Child’s Pose if you need to, but leaving before or during Savasana is not punk and disrupts the Chi and challenges the otherwise unconditional love of your instructor.
MATS FOR THE OCCASIONAL FORGETFUL AND TRAVELERS
We have studio yoga mats to loan to Pilgrims who occasionally forget their mat or for travellers travelling light. We don’t charge for the use of these and just ask that you wipe them down thoroughly after use. However for regular use we ask that you purchase a mat – we have some gorgeous lush organic non-slip Bhakti Bu mats for sale at reception. They are a premium mat but you will not regret!
LATE POLICY
For safety reasons and in respect of other Pilgrims we cannot allow late entry to classes. Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes early. We are sorry but if you are late, grab a coffee or Pilgrim Passion across the lane at Kiki and come back for a lunch or evening class.
NO-SHOW AND CANCELLATIONS
It happens to everyone, bad night sleep or wake up under the weather or just can’t do it today! We are forgiving but if you are a habitual no-show the studio reserves the right to charge a $10 no-show fee.
TRIAL PERIODS AND COOLING OFFS
Pilgrim does not offer trial classes. Instead we ask you to select a membership package that suits you best and we then provide a two-class / seven-day cooling off period. Billing does not commence until after two classes or seven days, whichever occurs first. After two classes or seven days billing will commence. We will do our best to contact you after your first two classes or first week of practice and solicit your satisfaction but for practical reasons we cannot guarantee this and billing will commence automatically. If Pilgrim does not fulfill your wildest yoga dreams please let us know!

FIT FOR PURPOSE
Unless you tell us otherwise, we assume you have no health risks, conditions or injuries. You must immediately inform us if you believe that participating in any yoga, movement or fitness activities offered by us could in any way pose a risk to your health.
YOUR PRACTICE
When you wiggle your toes the extent to which you wiggle them is your choice. It is your practice. Same for all stretches, movements and vinyasas. You are there for you, yoga is not a competition. Unless the instructor says it is a competition. But seriously, everyone in the class is at their own level and everyone is there for their own reasons and everyone will benefit from the class in their own way. Enjoy regular practice and observe improvement in every aspect of your life both inside and outside the studio. Namaste.
